I received a Missing Component error recently while trying to watch Netflix on my laptop using Google’s Chrome browser in Windows 10.

After all the suggested solutions offered by Netflix’s Help Center did not resolve the missing WidevineCdm component issue, I knew that I would have to put my Google-Fu skills to work.

I came across a post on Kip Lange’s blog in which he suggests that you run Chrome as administrator fix the issue.

To do this, right-click on Google Chrome and select Run as Administrator.

Log into Netflix, and you will now be able to stream successfully.
